Ambiano 5-Inch Rechargeable Fan Blowing into Aldi Stores

Aldi has been selling portable fans for years now. We’ve personally used them for tent camping, as the little breeze from the fans help with sleeping at night. The fans typically operate both through a socket or through battery power, making them versatile whether we were at a site with electric hookups or a basic site with none.
We’ve bought, reviewed, and used both the Easy Home USB or Battery Powered 5-Inch Fan and the Ambiano 3.5-Inch Portable Fan. We liked both of them, save for one flaw: they both used standard AA batteries. As you can imagine, a night off the grid can drain those batteries pretty quickly, and it’s not the most fun having to bring a stack of AAs just to get through a few nights.
Fortunately, products with built-in rechargeable batteries have become much more common. Aldi has even taken to selling a rechargeable 5-inch fan.
What We Know:
The Ambiano 5-Inch Rechargeable Fan is an Aldi Find. Each store gets a shipment, and once that shipment is gone, it’s gone. If you can’t find one of these fans in your local Aldi store, you’re out of luck for now.
In 2026, this fan cost $7.99. That’s the same price we paid for both the 3.5-inch and 5-inch battery-powered fans in back 2021, and is considerably less than portable fans we can find on Amazon.
This fan looks much like to the 5-inch fan we bought back in 2021, with a similar button layout and just a couple of small tweaks to the light layout. One other small distinction is that Aldi uses a different private label for the newer fan.

What We Don’t Know:
While we have extensive experience with the older AA-powered portable fan — and our experience was a good one — we haven’t yet tested out this rechargeable one. We can’t speak, then, to how well it runs, how long the battery lasts between charges, or how durable the fan is. That’s why we’ve created this open thread for users to share experiences.
Have you tried out this Ambiano portable fan? Let us know about it in the comments.
